Motor swap

I have a 2y in my Lux... I've recently seen a 4y going for 7500 and a 3y going for 6000. How easy would it be to replace the 2y with either motor? How different would the wiring be?

I doubt you will have any issues, there is a member here who did something similar recently.

Are you talking about the Midas/Autozone engines? They are fitted with Electronic Ignition, which is a definite advantage, and are pretty much a straight-forward swap. I had to replace the starter when I fitted a 4Y, the new one had a 'nipple' on the end cap which caught on the bell-housing (or something, can't remember where) and also changed one engine mount.
