Legend KZTE krrrrrrrrrrrrrrratles

Help urgently needed.
After many months I found the perfect vehicle, low KM 54000 Legend KZTE 4x4 DC and White on top of it.
However, travelling on any road surface, with the wind blowing from either left or right, there is persistant KRRRRR rattle from the back. Already removed back seat, all tools, jack etc stored behind the back seat but no solution.
Opened the rear doors and the rear panels, but cannot find anything loose.
No sidewind , no rattle.
Any ideas???

Check the baffles in the exhaust, might be that the sidewind shakes it the right way to rattle OR check all the heat plates on the underside.

Re: Legend KZTE krrrrrrrrrrrrrrratles
Dennis,
Does it still display these symptoms with the Canopy removed? I wonder if it isn't a rattle between the fibre glass canopy and the roll bar, sometimes there is so little clearance there that it will not require too much outside interference to rattle.

Dzombo4, stupid question but have you checked to make sure the plastic decals over the fenders are tight and that the plastic covers inside the wheel archs are tight?

A test drive yesterday revealed the Plastic Covers inside the rear wheel arches as the culprits. Amazing - with the wind blowing from the one side, that plastic cover flaps against the cab body and the other side is not moving. With the wind from the other side, the same thing then on the other side. :o
Dzombo4 will post a picture.
Cheers,
Jacques

Re: Legend KZTE krrrrrrrrrrrrrrratles
Smiling all over. Herewith the pics. It is actually the cover that bridge the divide between the loadbed and the cab, this is fixed in the loadbed side, but is free on the cab side, with about a 1mm clearance on the cab side just to give enough space to work up a nice vibration.
Thanks for all the input guys. Was about to make this one another guys problem

HOORAY
Glad you got it sorted out. Those plastics can be a pain on any car if not affixed properly.
