Fortuner: EFS Suspension to be fitted later this week :)
After looking at various suspensions I decided on EFS
Having it fitted later this week at Maniac 4x4 here in Cape Town and will keep you guys posted.
Price is good, product excellent, warranty better than OME etc and after sales service is very good from what I've heard! Had the privilege of meeting Kallie, the national manager of EFS Africa, today and I now feel even more comfortable with my choice!

Are you fitting Cruiser shocks or standard Tuna shocks?

Standard EFS Tuna shocks.

Q? Why not Cruiser shocks? More articulation than the Tuna setup :wink2:

I'm not really a hard core 4x4 driver so I'm happy to stick with what EFS/Maniac recommends :)
IIRC you also have to modify some other items if you go with the Cruiser shocks?

Re: Fortuner: EFS Suspension to be fitted later this week :)
The EFS kit was fitted this morning :)
First impressions:
- When inside the car it feels a lot higher than before :)
- When outside the car it does not look odd or non-std to the untrained eye. Got +-50mm lift. Only when you compare the before and after photos do you see the difference.
- The new shocks are a lot more beefier than the OEM ones!
- The ride is absolutely superb. I was afraid that it will be hard - a common complaint I have seen by some people that lifted their cars. I do however only have the 30kg front and 100kg rear kit so maybe that is the reason.
- It is hard to describe the ride quality. It definitely improved.....almost like the suspension reacts quicker to sudden changes in road surfaces. I like :D
I obviously still need to drive a bit more and do some offloading but so far I do not regret it one bit!
Mark and his team at Maniac did an extremely good job and did not mind some of the noob questions I had while hanging around :) ) I can definitely recommend them for supply and fitment. He also has a LOT of other goodies to offer.
I will do a couple of kilometres and provide some more feedback.
Excuse the picture quality on some of the closer shots....the camera pulls it slightly skew for some reason
Pics loaded here due to size etc :)
