Sedert ek my Vigo geruil het vir die Tuna, was ek nie so oortuig dat dit wel die regte besluit was nie! Die rit het maar dieselfde gevoel (in die stad), en het die laaste week die tuna se ander kleure ondek. Ek is eers Musina toe van PTA en terug om na 'n site te gaan kyk. Van die 1200km was sowat 400km grondpad (kwaai sinkplaat vir lang ente). Soos ek my vigo geken het sou hy sy gat lankal uit geskop het, maar die tuna het sy lyn gehou, ek moes net heeltyd die sped afbring dat ek nie te vinniger ry as wat veilig is nie. Oppad terug het ek die vrou en kind op gelaai en Margate toe gery. Vandag terug gekom en ek sê vir jou soos 'n flippen droom. Vrou sê ry gerief is net so lekker soos die Merc, maar nie so kompak dat dit voel of jy ingeblik is nie! Al te saam so 2500km gedoen met 'n gebruik van 11,3km/l avg (self bereken, die dash wys 11,8km/l avg). Nooit het ek op langpad op die vigo 3d4d meer as 9,3km/l avg gekry nie! Fantasies!

Net een kleine probleempie! 50 000km op die klok met 'n lekker whining van die ratkas af (nie 4de rat nie). Daar is 'n bulletin uit van Toyota SA om dit onder die waarborg te vervang. Blykbaar ook weereens 'n "common" probleem op die Fortuna's facelift merk 2, nes die "sonbesie" van die Vigo, wat ook algemeen is. Niks egter oor bekommerd te wees nie, raak gewoond of herstel (kry dalk ander problem agv). Hou dus julle waarborg se datum/km dop, so as jy so iets ondervind mag jy dalk net R14000 spaar. :!:
