Wie van julle het al n suksesvolle KZTE conversion gedoen op julle SFA hilux'e? Indien wel, watse probleme het julle raakgeloop?

Hallo daar. Ek weet nie van die KZ-TE conversion nie. Ek wens ek kon sommer 'n 3.0 D4D masjien in my Hilux 2.4 sit. 4km/l in die dorp is nie so lekker nie. Hoop jy kom reg.

Die ding is, ek het so n conversion gedoen en na baie gesukkel en modifikasies is dit n groot sukses. Eks maar net nuuskurig hoe ander mense hulle ombouings ervaar het. My bakkie gee my nou so 7.5kml wat ek dink is uitstekend.

Ja nee, dit klink nie te sleg nie. As ek daai verbruik gekry het kon hulle my "smile" agter my kop vasmaak ha-ha. Ek weet van 'n man hier in Brackenfell wat 'n kompetisie voertuig het met 'n KZ-TE masjien. Weet nie of hy enige probleme het nie. Ek weet nie tans van iemand anders in die Kaap nie.

Ek het n KZ conversion. Ongelukkig het ek dit nie gedoen nie.
Die grooste probleem is oorverhitting. Ek het al n head verloor,
Maar verder het ek nie regtig klagtes nie. Ek moet die radiator vervang,
Was by silverton radiators en hulle se die radiator is te klein vir die KZ.
As die EGT onder 650'c bly het ek geen probleem nie. Was
Desember port edward toe gewees sonder enige probleme.
Ek kry 8.3km/l volvrag teen 120 km/h. Volgens my is dit n goeie ombouing.
Ek ry elke dag met my bakkie, en ek is baie gelukkig.

Ek het my KZ enjin by Mike's Place gekoop en het 4000km gery toe breek die timing gears. Aardige bedraggie om daai te vervang. Ek het 4 5de ratte ook gebreek omdat die enjin te veel torque het. 5de rat is sommer uitgesny en danksy Allen Venter (Hoppy) het ek die standaard 4.55 diwwe vervang met 3.7 ratio diwwe en dit werk soos n droom. Ek het ook n Colt 2.8 se intercooler op wat bo op die enjin monteer is. n 5cm body lift is ook n moet met so n conversion. Ek het van die begin af n KZ radiator ingesit en het geen probleme met oorverhitting nie. Ek het al gaan duine ry in 48 grade temperature sonder enige oorverhitting probleme. KZ enjin se electronics is ook vervang met n Colt 2.8 se dieselpomp. Alles het ek en nog n mechanic self gedoen so ek ken daai bakkie nou soos die palm van my hand, wat ek dink n goeie ding is. Die voorste diff het ook n auto locker in, wat maak dat daar nie n plek is waar hy nie kan klouter nie. Ek sal graag foto's wil oplaai maar ek weet nie hoe nie.

Kan nog steeds niks sien nie... ok ek gaan probeer help..

Gaan na die folder waar jy die fotos ge save het, klik op die foto sonder om dit oop te maak, regs klik nou en klik op edit,
klik nou op image en dan op resize, gaan maak die foto nou kleiner, waar hy gewoonlik bo aan se by wydte (se maar 1600 pixels)
maak dit nou 800 of selfs 600, save dit dan as bv, test image of wat ook al.

kom dan terug na hierdie thread en klik op post reply.. kyk dan onder options is file name.. regs van dit is browse, klik daarop en gaan soek nou die foto wat jy ge edit en ge save het.. dubbel klik, gaan nou na add the file en as hy klaar gelaai het en wys geen errors dan kan jy submit!!

Skree maar as jy nog hulp nodig het

Dankie Hennie, ek het hulle nou resize en hulle is nou so +- 138kb, so hoe plaas ek nou die foto op hierdie blad asb? Ek wardeer die hulp. :thumbup:

Dan is dit seker 'n goeie tyd om te laat weet dat my KZ engine binnekort beskikbaar gaan wees, met sy ECU, Intercooler en throttle control.

Hier staan die volgende projek, maar hy kry weer sy standaard 2.8 diesel enjin in. Body is klaar geprep, moet net gespray en aanmekaar gesteek raak. Enjin is ook heel van sy ma af oorgedoen. Moet nog net skokbrekers koop dan het ek als. Hy kry diff lock ook agter in.
