SFA rear disk brakes ?

Post by LEEBOY »

Hi All,
I have hunted all over the net trying to find out which discs and callipers work best with the original master cylinder. Has anyone done this mod and can recommend which work well. What size piston did the calliper have as i will have to see what is available. Any info needed please.

I'm sure I saw a mod using Golf rear calipers.

Stock front disks and any caliper that uses the pads for the handbrake should work.

Try searching for Vigo/surf rear disk upgrade

Speak to Tarquin, he just bought old Audi A4 calipers to do the mod. See here. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=32665&start=30" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I got the idea from hoppy (Allan). he sold me an upgrade kit for the front with new disks and now i can use the front disks at the back with audi calipers. Allan said he's going to make up some plates for holding the calipers. Speak to him he's done the conversion before :thumbup:
