1980 Hilux Holden 253 V8 with supra 5spd

Post by PaulieP »

Hi all,

Have my hilux I just picked up with 253 and supra box (what I think is a supra box) seems as if when conversion was done gear box wasn't done right and thrust bearing is pushing right up against the flex plate. Any ideas on best fix for this?

You have to send some pics cause it can't have a thrust bearing and a flex plate, the one is for auto and the other for manual.

The best way to go on any Manual conversion is to buy the complete clutch kit for the gearbox and make it work on your flywheel.

I think Paul means 'pressure plate' instead of 'flex plate'.
