Post by Caleb777 »

Hi guys

I'm still very new to this game, so all comments and tip would be highly appreciated. I bought a hilux 4x4 with a skyline 2.8 motor. what do you guys think of this conversion?
I'm thinking of putting the stock carb back to save a bit of fuel

Welcome aboard, Caleb! (Again :D: ) You're in the right place!

What do you mean by "stock carb" - how is it aspirated at the moment? What box is in it? What size tyres (diameter)?
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

The 38 works best if you rotate it with the fuel bowl facing the fire wall, they were better than the old Nikki carbs, performance wise.
Should be a good conversion, those were excellent motors
