Welcome to the forum Minesh, I have not seen or heard of somebody doing such an conversion. It would be interesting to see.
Keep us updated if you are going to fit the 4.1 in.

Welcome Minesh.

Why that particular engine? If you're talking about the old 4.1 straight six that was in the El Camino's and Constantia's then you're talking about old tech motors and there are better options available with better power delivery and fuel economy.

You're also going to battle with a bell housing to marry the motor to the box and will have to have one custom made as a 'once-off' which is gonna be pricey - an adaptor plate might be the way to go, but it still doesn't make sense to spend that kind of money on a conversion with an obsolete motor.

I agree with Muddog. Also I would think that the straight six could be a bit too long to fit into the sfa engine bay.I installed a toyota six cylinder 7MGE into a hilux years ago and that was a really tight fit.
I would also rather consider a more modern engine for a transplant.

A lot of chaps used to put them in the old Land Rovers, have a scope on those forums for more in depth info.

Agree with Mud Dog and Firstgeer. Those engines are getting really long in the tooth now and you are increasingly going to battle getting spares for them in the future. Have you recently tried to source condensers, rotors and ignition points? Even for the ubiquitous 3lt Ford Essex engine it is becoming a challenge and these engines were much more common not to mention more recently produced than those 4.1 chev motors. I also do not know where you are going to get a bell housing.
