40mm Body Lift on 2002 KZ-TE

Post by Donkey »

Hi guys

I'm in the process of doing a body lift on my truck, and thanks to JohanM for the willingness to assist. I know there are one or two on the forum who have challenged this task before and therefore would appreciate some info on bolt sizes.

Below is what I could come up with:

I hope this will make sense to you, I worked from the back of the bakkie to the front. I could not measure the exact length of the bolts but I tried as much as I could. The bin has four (4) bolted places with bolts +- 40mm long.

From behind the rear doors, in front of the rear wheels, there's two (2) bolts on either side of about 80mm long, going forward but behind the front wheels and below the front doors, there's two (2) bolts on either side also about 80mm long. The very front is bolted on two (2) 40mm bolts.

In total there's 6 x 40mm bolts, and 4 x 80mm bolts.

Please assist with the exact length(s) and thickness of the original bolts.
:wth: :o: :shock2: :beg:

Warm regards,
Tumelo Maketekete

It would be interesting to see what the fuel consumption is after the lift is done

Best way is to remove driver side bolts & go buy 2 of each, 40mm longer

Mr_B, Johan and Piet thank you for your input, I was hoping someone may have taken the bolts out and knew the lengths, to avoid all the homework, before doing the actual homework. Thank you guys.

Thumelo, this is nothing technical in any way and probably will add no real value. But you might find this read interesting.
