Hello guys

I got a KZTE which Im paranoid someone will steal.
Does anyone have any sugegstions or tips I could use to prevent the engine from being hot wired or started but unauthorised means? Im looking to modify the engine electronics in such a way that it is very difficult to get the engine started.
What other options are there to beef up the security ?

Your sugegstions would be greatfully appreciated.

Hi Wayne, it would sadly be foolish to post all that info here on the Forum for the world to see.....

Hi Thabo

The KZ-TE does get knicked, my first was a 2003 model which I had for a week before it was stolen in the church yard in Centurion. I suspect they export them into Africa. That did not discourage me though cos I'm on my second one.

I have a few tricks and relays to "beef" up security and so far no hassles. The only way to nick it now is either to pick it up or tow it, but I go anywhere with a little bit more peace of mind.

Regards.

Hi Ooms

I would apreciate a PM with the security info you have been so kind to forward to the other members. Looks like there are alot of guys wanting to hang on to their vehicles. I cant blame them, i feel kinda nervous every time i leave mine parked anywhere other than in my driveway behind lock and key.

Thanx
Ian

Hi I realise this is an old topic but I have had my KZTE for a while now and have been thinking about how to make it more secure. I see from the post Oooms and Donkey have some suggestions and pm's were sent. Would someone be so kind to forward me some of those mails please. I also have some ideas which I can share.
Thanks
