1998 D/C body lift

Ek en my vriend het lank gevat
maar vandag besluit om sy trokkie
so bietjie hoogte te gee so 60mm
body lift. Ek het vergeet dit is nogal
harde werk om die bak op te line
maar hom gewen die cab is kinder
speeletjies nou is sy trokkie amper
so hoog soos myne oor n rukkie
doen ons my ander vriend sin maar
nou weet ons van beter en dit sal
dan vinniger gaan.

Ja maar dan doen jy liewer 'n suspension lift ... ook baie makliker. Met 'n body lift is daar geen voordele tensy dit gedoen word om grooter bande of enjin te akommodeer ... anders lig jy net die COG wat dan eintlik 'n nadeel is. ;-)

Ja is om 33" bande op te sit en ons like die trokke mooi
hoog hoe lig mens die onderstel?

Vere verander met vere wat a grooter 'arc' het. Soos byvoorbeeld OME, asook miskien extended shackles, maar jy sal beslis probleme met die prop-shafts optel. As jy beide doen in veband met die body lift wat klaar gedoen is, gaan hy dan amper useless wees off-road omdat die COG so hoog gaan wees dat hy te maklik om kantel. Om dit te oorkom sal jy breer bande moet opsit met grooter offset rims of self spacers moet insit, maar dan gaan die wheel bearings nie hou nie. Dan sal jy nog 'n groote enjin moet inbou om daai wiele te draai. Dan sal jy nog aste afdraai en birfields breek, niks gesê van gearbox en diff nie. :crazy: Ja dit lyk lekker, maar dis nie alles prakties nie.

Die Hilux is taai gebou, maar al hoe meer jy veranderinge aanbring om 'n 'monster truck" van hom te maak. hoe meer compromise jy daai taaiheid en die betroubaarheid van die bakkie. Ek sou nooit 'n body lift aanraai nie, tensy dit nou die eenigste uitweg is om 'n grooter enjin in te bou ... maar selfs met 'n Lexus V8 is dit nie nodig nie. Doen eerder 'n suspension lift om groter bande te akommodeer, dan het jy ook baie beter ground clearance daarbei.

Jammer as ek nou negatief voorkom, maar dis my mening. Enige mod dra gevolge wat miskien nie vir alle toepassings 'n voordeel is nie. ;-)

Is alles waar my trok is so
90mm gelig - body lift van 70mm
die res is verkry om my bladvere
te retension
my rims is 10" blazers en word aan
gedryf deur standaard 22R - ek het
ook al gesien ouens sit staal blokke
tussen die as en die vere in maar
ek is skrikkerig vir daai mod het iemand
die blokke ding al probeer?

Bly weg van die blokkie ding ... dit veroorsaak 'axle-tramp' wat sommer baie meer stress op jou vere sal sit. ;-)

Persoonlik sou ek nie grooter bande as 31" opsit met 'n 22R, maar daar is ouens wat 33's opsit. Na my mening verloor jy te baie krag met 'n 22R en daai grooter bande, en dan is dit nie meer die extra duim diff clearance / break over / approach angle/ departure angle werd nie. Maar dis net my mening. :think:
