10J's on a IFS
Ever thought about fitting 10J's to your IFS?
Well go buy a 6 pack and enjoy the bears until the thought is gone.
If you don't like cutting and hammering your lux to get these babies to fit than rather stick with 8J's. I had 8J's with 33" Bighorns and went to 10J's with 33" Khumo KL71's, took a lot of work to get them in and to make sure that it wouldn't touch
anything wile offroading.
I think this classifies as a modification

Johann, those Khumo's are awesome. I have had mine for 3 years. They get noisier the more they wear, but the traction is awesome and they look great. You need to get some ear plugs though My next tyres are the BFG muds, I heard they are a lot quieter.

Hi RobertROBERT wrote:Hi Johannes,

If you wanna fit 33" wheels to a IFS you firstly need to do a body lift of at least 40mm, longer swing shackles on rear blades and torque your torsion bars up a bit to lift the nose. OME suspension not needed but it will give you some more lift.
Thereafter you need to do some cutting and hammering to create more space, if not your wheels will rip the plastic fender flares off and you might even damage the wheels against the body work.
Compare this image of my lux with one that is still standard, you'll see the difference in mine where I did some cutting.

You'd have to to some serious wheel arch mods to fit something like that!
