KZ-TE suspention Lift

Post by WayneSchalk »

SO this year I want to do a couple of mod to my lux starting with a suspension lift while I save up for those OME's.

Im starting at the back with the Mikem extended shackles, they are 50mm longer than the OEM ones, Got them from 4x4direct.co.za for R1200.00 with delivery.

I will take some before and after measurements and pics

That was a quick and easy job, I mesured 390mm from the top of the rim ti the wheel arch with the OEM scackles, and 420mm after I fitted the extended scackles.

And I adjusted the torsionbars a bit so the front is at 400mm.

Now I just need to wailt for the balljoint spacers and detachable stabiliser links for the front

Hi Wayne

Not difficult to do at all, , just a bit of cutting maybe a centimeter or so, then bending back the upper plate under which the spacer fits. But very easy. Will take about 3 hours to do.

ek sal nof pics laai soos ek voort gaan.

Wayne the rear of my truck is still standard, though the intention is to install Mikem shackles, but for now have to channel those funds towards sorting the engine out. That will come later.

Ok so the ball joint spacers is finally fitted, I had to tweak the torsion bars a bit so that the bakkie is the same hight all round, it measures 420mm from the top of the rim to the wheel arch.

I will post some picks later.

Next up snorkel and I have to finish the towbar
