Mikem coils

I decided to give Swifty a lifty by fitting a set of Mikem coils in front. The ride is much improved and I gained another 35mm lift

. Now Darrell from Mikem must assist in raising the rear 35mm....

Pieter,

Ek het dit laat doen, so ek het nie baie moeite gehad nie, behalwe om te betaal!

Die ombouing bestaan uit control arms van 'n Landrover Discovery met 'n panhard rod en Cruiser coils. Verder word ventilated Cruiser discs gebruik met die oorspronklike 2.7 calipers en 40mm spacers. Ek moes self die SFA verskaf. Die agterste diff ratio word ook verander na 4.88 om by die voor as te pas. Jy kan jou regmaak vir ongeveer R20k plus die SFA.

. Ek het lankal vergeet dat ek die bank moes breek om die conversion te laat doen en ek geniet die Lux elke dag net 'n bietjie meer!

Dankie ek vra die soort vrae, dit help 'n my net om te oorweeg of ek nie na 'n SFA teen 'n goeie prys moet soek nie.

Mooi bakkie!
Is dit dalk moontlik dat jy vir ons close up foto's kan plaas wat die coilspring mountings bo en onder wys, asook die pennard en raduis rodds. Ek oorweeg dit sterk om my Willys op coils te sit.

Sorry dit het so lank geneem, maar hier is 'n paar fotos. Hoop dit help.

This is the upper mounting (to the chassis) of the panhard rod

This is the lower (to the axle) mount of the panhard rod.

This is the coil spring mount to the axle.

This is the upper mount (to the chassis) of the coil spring.

I'm not worthy

I'm pricing extended shackles at the moment as my front leaves are tired (but still strong) and my rear ones are sagging (but also still strong). I don't need to replace the leaves yet so:

I can get a set from RoughTrax4x4 in the UK at Xmas for 120pounds

How does that compare with Mikem please

I can't remember our Mikem Guy's Forum Naam :roll:

So op die oog af lyk alles reg. Hy hou lekker pad, is 'n droom in die slote. As ek met alles klaar is sal ek hom vat om sy wiele te stel, ens. Wat dink jy van so Willys Jeep op coil springs?
