SAC Unichip & Wildcat Exhaust Upgrade - 3.0D4D Auto
Hi Guys
I'm running a 3.0D4D Auto, with suspension upgrade and 265/75R16 Muds on 8JJ Rims. The extra weight of accesories are about 500kg's. The conversion was done on 1520km on the clock.
SAC Founder Stephen Fischer did my upgrade himself and the results were as follow:
Gain in kW = 18.1
Gain in torque = 107Nm
The bakkie is a totally different vehicle. Much smoother aspecially with the auto. And what's best of all is that the most gain in nm is between 1500-3000 refs. The exhaust system is basically the same as the std one, but without cat-converter and made out of stainless steel with bigger diameter.
Here's the graph from standard with chip and Wildcat Exhaust system. Here's the graph from with chip and after exhaust were fitted. Before the chip I got 9.1km/liter
After the chip it went up to 9.9km/liter
This weekend we did a trip of 650km including gravel and offroad and I was highly impressed with the difference. I will test the durabillity of this conversion in future and will report back in due coarse.
Note:
The exhaust almost give a 7kW and 30Nm gain. There is no difference in the sound of the exhaust from std to after.
Also see the difference of the nm in the refs range on the flywheel.

If you have a lot of accesories or do allot of towing it's a great buy.

Hi Andre
Also have a Unichip fitted by Dr Quincy in George on my 3.0 D4D 4x4 d/c manual,
145kW and 396NM on the Dyna. Fitted a free flow afterwards but didn't make a real difference when tested on the Dyna. Maybe they fitted the wrong size pipe and silencer box. What pipe diameter did Stephen put on your Hilux? And is the silencer a free flow box with the same dimension as the OE?

HI Adre, how has the upgrade affected your fuel economy??
The gains looks pretty good. how long does the upgrade and exhaust take to do?

Hi Andre, are you still happy with the work they did on your truck. Thinking of sending mine in to do the same.
By the way, your truck looks awesome.

Hi.

Nou as ek my exhaust stukkend ry, reken julle my waarborg is weg.
