I have recently put my Hilux back on the road after fitting a 1uz-vvti with the auto box running standard Lexus management.

I have got to a brick wall with my conversion. How do I get a speedometer working?

Is it at all possible to make the instrument cluster for the Vigo shape to work in my old Hilux? My bakkie used to b a diesel, and I got the heat gauge working. But the rev counter is a separate aftermarket thingy.

Alternatively there is this digital racing cluster Lextreme sells, but it looks completely out of place in the Hilux.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

The first question you must try and answer is if it is possible to make the new cluster fit. This means you possibly have two challenges. Making the new cluster fit and then making it work.

It is possible, with a bit of sculpting and fabrication... Have seen pics on the internet of guys who did it and it looks awesome..

Please post a pic of your current cluster. I just want to see if it is the same (Similar) as the one I had which I got working after my conversion a while back.

Wont something like this work on your current cluster? a bit expensive but I am sure you would be able to get one locally. A lot less hassle?
