Ek het ook n paar beetles in my jong dae deurgewerk, selfs n trip varsity toe was n ekspidisie, dis hoekom eek nou n Hilux so wardeer.

Dit was darm maklik om daai engines uit te haal. My enigste engine wat ek ooit uitgehaal het was a 1600 twinport uit 'n splitty.

Dunno if you recall that glass-fibre beach buggy shell that was standing in my yard .... well it's still there - was supposed to be a project together with my son, but never got to completion. Well the motor is a 1600 twin-port ... still standing under wraps with stainless pipes and all, waiting for me to get the time to do the body.

very good idea and the beatle's roof was strong enough to support it. Make maneuvering a caravan so much easier.
