KZTE VS. Lexus
Ok I have checked my KZTE torque curve against the Lexus curve. and up to about 2500 rpm they seem to be the same with 3 or 4 KW/NM difference. That tells me that the gearbox and diff will work fine but will give me longer gear use sins the KZ don`t really want to be revved above 3000 rpm.
Question ?
1. Is my assumption correct?
2. Can`t we get a sticky subject that can give everyone a good idea what they will need to convert there vehicle to a lexus. 2.2, 2.4, 2.7, KZTE, 300D.
Type of radiator needed
Fans on radiator
body lift required
Gearbox manual and automatic Types (No argument which is best just what model to use)
Diff ratio`s
EFI (No argument which is best just what model/type to use)
Suggested retailers. bell housings
flywheel/ clutch sizes
size on exhaust ( single / bubble pipes)
Engine mountings.
Fuel consumption idea?

Bellhousing flywheel - Fana
Radiator- Prado kzte
clutch kit- Land Cruiser 11 inch
3 speed BMW fan
ECU- I used std
manual gearbox
Autobox- you need a Prado transfer with speed sensor for std ecu
Single 63mm exhaust 2 boxes
Std enjin mounts gebruik n universal rubber , maak nuwe chassis brackets
Groete.

Tyres = not OK
Get a set of 33's or 35's to match the engine!

Gertc wrote:O.K. Radiator = OK
Gearbox = OK
Diff = OK
