Has anyone gat any thing to say about the 2.8 cressida motor?doesnt it come with a carb instead of efi?
With each replacement of parts, a car slowly becomes Chinese.

The 5MGE 2.8 DOHC 12 valve doesn't come with a carb, it's an older and less powerfull version of the 7MGE, it lacks torque at low rpm and it gives 30kw less than the 7MGE 3.0 L DOHC 24 valve and its the same job to fit, but the 5MGE did run cooler and gave better milage.
The very first Cresida's had a 2.8 carb motor called the 5M, but it was a SOHC 12 valve and it was even lower on power.

Hoppy,that yellow hilux thats on your signature do you have any info on it?it looks pretty dam cool,those running boards,are they from a single cab?
