Just to also let you know that Bosbeer needs to see a dyno faster than Zuma needs a proctologist... I currently get 3.5km/l on the open road and I got less than 1km/l when crawling this weekend... Anyway everybody reckons I should be able to at least double my current consumption figures after a proper dyno, as she is heavily overfueling at the moment.

Re: Scorpion's UBER LUX
And that was without aircon as well.
I recon if you can just get your idle speed sown to below 900 rpm you woul already save a lot.
Blomma
Why don't you consider speaking to Peet and see if he can help you guys with an idle controller for the V8 that he can modify to work on the Microtech. I believe his idle controller is an external device from the ECU and he may be able to make it work on different ECUs. Then you guys could easily drop the idle speed down considerably. A big 8 like that should easily idle strong at about 650-700RPM. That will already half the trail consumption.

To be quite honest with the lot off you gents.
The microtech in the Scorps truck hasent even seen two seconds off programming
1 the thermostat is not working so M overfeuel by 13% to get engine temp to "normal" 93 degrees
2 Idle controll is still set high to help Johan at RTW and to get "starts" easy and reliable till we can get it tuned(this was done with the throttle boddy somme shortcut)
3 No outside Idle controll is needed on a V8 dude
Long storry short "DO NOT CRY YEAT" we are still bussy

Re: Scorpion's UBER LUX
Bosbeer wil NEVER be finished! Once you start down the road of extreme mods, it becomes an addiction... (And an extremely expensive one at that! )
After the Dicktator conversion, I sent him to Louis for a dual battery system and ended up replacing a few of the suspension components (coils, bushes, etc) with OME and just fixing some niggles. Modified the tank and changed the pickup and changed the HP fuelpump.
Now I'm waiting for a thermostat from Lexus before it goes to the dyno. Can't wait to see what this beast can do!
After that I will drive him for a while (maybe a week... ) and test him a bit. Then I want to start on the interior.
It's been a long road, but it seems we are finally getting there. Louis and Bennie seems to have sorted out most of the problems and now I can start looking forward to using Bosbeer for what he was built... and of course start planning my next mod...
