Blue 1983 Hilux.Had engine mods done in 2002.We fiited a 5.7l engine but after someone dropped a screw in one cylinder we had to take it up to 6.3.Has a chev T5 gearbox and fits directly onto toyota transfer case.Ford GT 3.7 diff.Give or take develops 500+ HP and a load of torque.Hates tires and loves petrol.

the total cost was about 30 000 to 40 000 in the end to get everything sorted out, that was back in 2002.The vehicle itself hit 1 million km so we had the choice of redoing the standard engine or installing a small nuclear bomb.

it is totally worth the effort. As long as you don't care about tyres and fuel. The best is when a BMW driver can't seem to work out why a house on wheels is keeping up until you gear down and send him back in time. The vehicle tends to understeer but a dab on the throttle sorts that out quickly.
