Right now i need to know if i can run a 7mge with a standard hilux gearbox and bell housing? Is it a straight bolt on?or do i have to buy the adapter?

No you need a Cressida bellhousing and flywheel then it becomes a bolt on

and the engin mounts  do you have to modify the chassis or just make custom motor mounts and what do they look like? :eh:

I just had to persude the mouting brackets on the engine side with a 10 pound hammer ever so slightly but apart from that standard Hilux mountings fit perfectly

No the ratios is perfect for 245*75 or 31s. I actually thought that I may need to change ratios once I go to 33s cause the gearing may then become too high (engine speed too low) when driving in 5th at 120-130 to be economical and also it may lack some in places where you need to crawl in 4L 1st :? but that I will have to see once my van is running again.

Hi Christo,

I see you are in Brackenfell as well! Have you spoken to Allan Venter(Hoppy, AEW) yet? He knows where to get these things in Cape Town...

Baie dankie Bretton.

Ek glo aan Keep It Short & Simple.
