Kan enige iemand daar kamp of moet jy iewers by die boer toestemming kry??

I was out at Trekoskraal this weekend and a "friendly sea fisheries inspector" cautioned me that I was driving a "no go area" area. I was in the existing tracks and was no way near messing up the dune vegetation. In a discussion with this chap I asked him where the sigh boards were for the claimed "no go area" and he told me that it was removed (not sure by who). Attached is a pic of the track I was driving in. O he told me it could cost me (fine) up to R 2500 for driving on these tracks.

Now to the chaps out in the West coast (Pieter, Ron .....) pls be careful. I would like to know what the legal implication of this will be should they have fined me.

Legally speaking, if you did not have to open a gate to access the road, and there is no signage to warn a driver, then they got no leg to stand on, if it goes to court they will loose(unless you go to a SA court  ).

Thank you for the invite... :? unfortunately my pilot is not in the driving seat at the moment and due to a tick bite from Trekos :o:, I'm out of action for a few days  Keep an eye out  The bush trail that leads away from the dunes is so tick infested at this time of the year and the bugger must have fallen into our car :!:

RE: Sun Chaser and Spreeuwalle, Here are some more pics to tantalize those fishermen's dreams. We're going to arrange to spend the night and fish there soon...Hopefully the guys don't close off the last of the roads into it :!:
Jislike, it's been more than a year since this post.
where does the time go.

Can anybody give directions , or better google images, of the exact entrance to the little dam behind portnet. I was there once, went thru gate behind portnet, some hectic rocks and dirt roads, to get there, but this gate locked these days.

Other option is entrance with the little caravan. This does take you to the parking at spreeuwalle, but from there it a 4 km walk on sand to the little dam. :wth:

As far as I know they are busy closing the dam because portnet needs the space. I will see if I can find out somewhere if you can still go there. Last time I heard something it was closed up more than half way.

thanks

yes they going to close the dam. last time I was there for portnet comp, they haven't started yet though.
A 6.4kg elf was caught in that dam in that comp  it was a beast.

But i'm not too interested in that dam.
I more want to fish on the surf next to the dam. Apprently it produces nice bloukoppe on SW winds.
But 4km walk with all my fishing cr@p is just not on. Especially that sloped, loose beach sand there.
Tried it once, got about 1km and fished there for the rest of evening :)
