First thing i also asked...previous owner only reported some light touching when towing trailor and going over some serious terrain...without the trailor, nothing...

i dont intend doing any towing apart from helping the guys out at De wildt from the 4x4 community site in May! :)

Hoppy ran his Rattle&Humm Hilux with 35" tyres without it ever touching. I also know of people who use the space underneath the arches to put water tanks. :thumbup:

The gearlock is there to tell my Tuff Stuff broker that i have one so i can save R13 a month on my premium...

it has a full level 4 alarm/immobiliser central locking system too...

heavily secured...

Oh for sure Rich, except that it's a bit dirty right now and needs a wash, so it's not exactly presentable. There's a bit of old age and battle scars showing too, so it can't hold it's head as high as it used to, but ..... with a bit of TLC, spit & polish and rust treatment, Mud Dog can hold her head up with pride again! :wink:

Drive back was long...but i enjoyed it thouroughly!

that engine has a special sound to it. nothign nicer than to park at an engen 1 stop and get more stares than the BMW X6 next to you... :)

shot guys,

just had her dyno tuned at Dyno Logic and Schalk worked his magic, 14% kw increase which is noticable!

the choices he offered was km/l or hp/uphill...i chose a combination...

the first reading at 3000rpm was 49.6, when i left it was over 56...at 3000rpm.

and i must add that those hankooks are amazing tyres...
