Better Late than Never
After a long relationship (235 000km) with an Isuzu Frontier which I really enjoyed, the time came for a change.
So then came the choices which eventually settled at Fortuner or Hilux. Having had an SUV for 8 years I decided to go for a Bakkie, not just an ordinary Bakkie a Toyota Hilux 3,0 D4D 4x4 D/C.
So what are my interests: Outdoors, Camping some 4x4 Driving, Golf, Mountain Biking and most important of all - MY FAMILY.
Married to Sandy and have two beautiful daughters (yes I know I'm biased) Candice and Nicola.
My other Offroad companion is an Echo 3 trailer which we thoroughly enjoy.
Sure to glean some valuable information from this forum.

Re: Better Late than Never
Afternoon Robin, welcome to the Forum. Congrats on the new Hilux. You made the best possible choice.
Don't worry, you'll see we tend to be biased as well.

Welcome Robin! Quite a few guys down your way that lounge about on this forum every now and again . I'm sure you will enjoy it here!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Welcome Robin.
I'm sure you'll love it here.
I had an 80's model KB 4x4 that I loved to bits....and pieces.
Bought the lux because I got tired of fixing gearbox and front suspension.
