There is a locator pin on top of the leaf spring that needs a hole to fit into... :eh: :eh:

For the bolthead of the bolt that holds the leafpack together .... same one that locates underneath in the pedestals (or saddles as you call them). Moving the axle forward means that you have to move the bumpstop back by the same distance so that it lines up again with it's counterpart on the chassis-rail. ..... Simple, my dear Watson!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Note that on the passenger side you need to drill the centre bolt locating hole 35mm offset as apposed to 30mm on the driver side.
This will eliminate the tendency of the SFA pulling towards the camber of the road.

Correct. I've got 31" tyres and under articulation the tyre rubs on the inside of the wheel arch close to where your petrol pedal is. With 33" it will be worse and could actually lock up I believe especially if you are turning at full lock.

mmmm I know riceburner mentioned somewhere on the forum that he just "panel beated" the lips that catch havent had a serious look at it tho, but just thinking if it is viable for me to fit 33's at the moment, cost wise other than tyres itself

Thys, what vented discs and calipers are you using on the front diff?

Thys, I take it it is not your axle then because those are vented discs and the standard diff had solid discs.

Then it is probably Cruiser disks. Allan does a brake conversion, where he fits Cruiser disks and calipers to the front and the standard disks and some funky calipers to the back. I know he told me a few times what calipers he uses at the back but I keep forgottening.   Camry or something, so that the handbrake works properly..

Well, look even that would be a huge improvement on the standard rear drum brakes... :silent: :silent:

Actually they work pretty well when set up correctly .... mine lock the rear wheels into a skid using the handbrake with 31's .... dunno about 33's though. The old silver Lux could do the same ... brake shoes were ATE, but Ferodo are softer and should bite even better. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
