Hi Guys

What should a rebuild cost on import rear axil mine is a little noise incorrect tooth patern so crown wheel and pinion will need changing. :problem:

Justin, it's very possible that the backlash play/shimming hasn't been done properly, it's a job for an experienced hand... before tossing the whole assembly take it to someone that knows what they doing! Could also be the pinion bearings!

I hope its not a bearing its been making the noise since I got the van and has not got worse there is a massive amount of backlash though

Must be an amateur attempt at the shimming... I'm pretty handy with most tasks on a vehicle, but rather leave the backlash setup to someone like Hoppy!

Jack the rear up and check for wheel bearing play.
