Have seen those but think they are aimed more towards car tyres and not the size we are running. But then again.... you can probably get result if you use a few of them

If you have a compressor installed you could mount a vessel underneath the vehicle with a pipe running to the back with air line fitting fitted and just keep the vessel charged from the onboard compressor.
We use a mobile vessel in the workshop for those types of emergancies and it gets pumped to 10bar. But its big and takes up alot of space

Gary Please forgive me for this one.
But this is how I see you.You can change your tire anywhere
Man ry in sy kar en ‘n poliesman trek hom van die pad af.

Poliesman kom nader gestap en vra die ou: "Meneer, het jy enige vuurwapens aan jou?"

Hy sê: "Ja, ek’t 'n 9mil in my sak, 'n punt-22 aan my enkel,
'n rewolwer op my rug en 'n haelgeweer in die boot.”

Die poliesman vra: "Waarvoor is JY bang, Meneer??"

Hy antwoord: "Vir !@#$%, pappie."

Predator wrote:Before the topic goes off centre........ does anybody know if its legal to use bottles like fire ext bottles to make them into air bottles with a nozzle to fit tyres etc, or can you buy them like this?
Normal, fire extinguishers can handle +-390psi (the halogen type) but the nozzle is unthreaded

I would rather just keep an aerosol / foam type that plugs the leak at the same time. It's most unlikely that you would have such a situation develop from a slow leak ... more like it goes down fast quite suddenly / unexpectedly. Just putting air into the tyre might only get you another 100m further and it's flat again. With the foam you have a chance of getting home or to a service station ... at the very least, out of the 'danger area' where you can swop out the spare.

Less hassle and less hazardous and can sleep behind the seat .... whereas a pressure vessel needs to be checked every now and so often ... for business purposes it has to be checked and certified every year, which might apply if the vessel is attached to the vehicle and the vehicle is used for business. Then where do you put it / secure it .... space! .... and it's a potential bomb if it can be ruptured in the event of an accident.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!
