That is a myth! The airbag sensor sits under the seat....

On the newer models it sits next to the radiator, however still does not really affect anything the way I understand it :wink2:

Airbag compatibility has to do with a crumple zone in the mounts of the bullbar, not with airbag sensors.

Look at ARB bullbars, on their mountings, they have a crumple zone which deforms and absorbs the energy from "lesser" collisions, and in doing so prevents the airbags from deploying, which would have deployed if the crumple zones were not present.

I hope this makes sense.....

Does this prevent you having to use your face as a crumple zone?????

It actually prevents the airbag from deploying during minor bumps, but the airbag will still deploy when it is really necessary.

Thys is reg. 'N solid bumper laat 'n airbag te maklik deploy, dit verhoed nie dat dit werk nie.
VW se airbags sensors tel die spoed waarteen die voertuig spoed verminder op. 'N klein stampie teen 'n solid bumper gaan vir die sensor voel soos helse ongeluk!!!

Ek kan ooki die fotos sien nie??

The pics were posted via photobucket almost 1½ years ago ..... could be that the account was closed or the pics removed from the account.

There has been no further activity here IRO the bumpers, so one can assume that he's no longer dealing with them.
