What South African words do you know, that are not official but widely used and understood (could be in any language and hope fully clean). Give a word and it's meaning and see how far we can get.

1. eish - normally said out loud, out of being frightened or in dispair
2. yoh - uttered when one is extremely surprised

Aita - "that's it!"
enol - "and all" ... no particular meaning, but used to end sentences and make them longer. Also a rip-off of the Indian community colloquialism.

Bra - (Not the lingerie type), pronounced 'bri' .... similar in meaning to the US "Bro".
Hoesit - Local equivalent of "Howzit". Technically a question but is not asked expecting an answer.

Awe ma se kind - very coloured derived I think it means the same as howzit

kif bru - meaning sharp

hola boss - same as howzit, used mainly in black townships (not that you get white townships

) person being greeted a male.

moerse-works in any sentence at anny time
lekker-multiple meanings depending on the situation or placement in the sentence
