Has anyone signed up for the NSRI 4x4 Adventure Day fundraising?
It's this Saturday, 01 October 2011.

I am going and can't wait, I am in group B. My brother in law is going with his Kia Sorento 2.2 all wheel drive. I warned him to get his recovery gear sorted, I will use it a lot to pull him through the dunes

I will enjoy it, I will load some clips on you tube.

Hel, jy weet mos hoe werk dit. Ek het almal afgeneem, maar niks van myself nie. Ek wag vir video van my swaertjie, dan sit ek dit op you tube. In ons groep was dit die toer leier met sy 4500 land cruiser, x2 tuna's, 3 colt bakkies, sorento 2.2, tata safari, nog 'n legend 35 kzte wat die back marker was, 'n condor (wat useless was) nissan 3l d/c, die ou kia sportage.
By die laaste hindernis was ons net x5 oor, x4 toyotas en x1 2.4 colt petrol. Die ander manne moes maar die escape roete vat uit.
Dit was 'n baie lekker dag, die challenges was net bietjie min en nie challenging genoeg nie, ek is oor al die hindernisse met my eerste poging. Ek sal weer gaan, die event is baie goed beplan en die geld gaan vir 'n goeie doel. Volgende jaar moet meer ouens van die klub dit gaan ry.

Sê gou, hoe het die hindernisse gelyk teen die tyd wat jy uit is? Dit was alreeds lekker losgetrap toe ek in die B groep daar deur is. Ek glo dit het rof geraak, hoe later hoe kwater. Kon jy darem al die hindernisse uit? Bumper hill en radiater hill.

Ons was die derde laaste groep, maar teen die tyd wat ons daar aangekom het, was Radiator Ridge en Humpty Dumpty onmoontlik. Dit was net die Land Cruiser (leier) wat daar deur gekom het.
My diesel het maar gesukkel...
Daar was 'n paar manne met hulle V8 Nissans wat hulle revlimiters getoet het... of was dit die bier wat die limiters getoets...

Besides the drinking on the trail, it was very well organised, and great to see a part of the reserve that one would not normally be allowed to see.

If they do, I will post the details.
It always seems to be around this time of year.
