It really makes me angry that these day's all you get is bad service.

I dropped off by bakkie at Toyota Midrand to replace a burst air-con pipe, turns out Toyota no longer manufactures the pipe.

When I collected my bakkie I was left with a dent on the door, my change cup was repossessed (probably less than R5, but not the point) and they helped themselves to all of my chewing gum.

So now my bakkie is even worse than what it was when I dropped it off!!!!

Dont' take it lying down... go visit them and make your point to the dealer principle directly... I've seen way to many sloppy okes(aka appis) at car services centres that really don't give a continental hoot about your property... they seem to think if you leave it on their premises, it theirs to do with what they want!

I agree 100% in taking it up with the owners or management. The only problem is that most service centres have large signage around the premises stating that the management cannot be held responsable for any damages or fire damage or theft to customers vechiles whilst the vechiles are on their premises. It sucks.

Had the same bad service from them after my injector driver blew, i was quoted the part number and said it eould cost R12 500 to replace, so phoned a friend at monument toyota and found out that the part costs R3000, phoned the service manger and he said that that was the quoted price and that they would stick to it, needles to say i had to fix my own car there!!

Surely they belong to the RMI? You can complain there too, if no-one else will listen! Also Toyota SA would be another avenue. It would be interesting to see what the CPA has to say about this!

They suck.

You can always let them no that they have now lost a potential 6000 clients (member count on the forum) that have seen what bad service they deliver

@#$!@#$!@#%!!!!

:tickedoff:

WTH with these people at stealerships???

REading around this happens at virtually all branches. Yes there is the odd case of good service but this has become the norm.

And because of situations like this i'd rather buy 2nd hand vehicles which are out of warranty. I'd really have sleepless nights if my vehicle was in at a stealership for any work!

1st - keep track of all communications and everything that goes on between you and them
2nd - take it up as high as you can go. These "employees" need to catch a wake up!

That is exactly it, I will call them today and send them the link. I was told yesterday that its probably the people at the wash-bay that's responsible, and I quote "have no control over these individuals" ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Wayne, that's a load of "crok", the DP is responsible for the entire dealership and what happens on the premises, even if they use outside contractors to do certian jobs.

I must say the service from the Dealerships out here in the Sticks *do* offer better service than this!
