Central Locking on KZTE

Post by frik »

Hi guys

Is there somebody out there that had a similar problem and what did you do to rectify it. Last night central locking works perfectly this morning only drivers door open and close from the remote or the button on the door panel.

I had funny electrical problems with this Hilux before where the lights just come on by itself replace a relay and then it is ok for a while.

This central locking is a new one to me if only I had a electrical drawing I might be able to source the problem

Any help would be highly appreciated

Thanks Frik

Frik I've never had this before, but I'm just thinking it may be worth just to replace it with a level 4 Autowatch, what do you think? M2cw

I'm just thinking that the homework involved and possibly the money required to fault-find, may get to a point where it justifies a new system.

I had a similar problem like ths once, where the relay was replaced and the programming redone. But the real issue was I wanted a second remote and the agents were unable to do so without a new relay.

AFAIK the units are behind the kick-panel on the passenger side (may be drivers side on your model) .... might be worthwhile to open up and check that the plug-in connectors are secure. Hope it helps. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Hi Frik. I see that this post was a while back, I am having the same issue. What did you do to resolve this?
