Praat jy van "side step" trappe? Daai ysters het destyds sommer gou saam met die Cadillac - agter bumper hulle boude gesien. Nadat die bakkie hier in 2006 en daarna nog gelig het haak hy nie somme nie. Tog bly hy mos maar n longwheelbase so n ou moet maar altyd wakker wees vir skade.
Hier is so n klein kiekie van die Castle Rock Challenge wat ons jare terug gedoen het en ook die skade ( skoolgeld ) :blackeye:

Dis reg, dis oppad Walvis toe van Sesriem, ek was oppad Angola toe en het so week op my eie deur Nam rond gedrentel tot ek later vriende by die Ruacana valle moes ontmoed.

Die V6 het gelukkig lekker krag en met die bakkie soos hy op die foto's is loop hy gemaklik, maar ek sou beslis nie langpad wou boot sleep of gepak met rooftoptent, rakke ens. so ry nie. Ons was einde verledejaar Baviaans toe ( met die buffel aanval )

Die bakkie het goed geloop gepak maar sonder enige iets op die dak. Op die 4x4 roete het hy vir my verbaas. Ek het gedink die ratverhouding gaan te hoog wees op die klipperige gedeeltes maar dit was nie veel van n probleem nie en die grooter wiele het eindelik lekker oor die klippe gerol. MAAAAR ek sou natuurlik gehou het van n laer ratverhouding, amper iets soos daai crawler box wat hulle in Aus insit......drome, drome ne?:think:

Ek het die ou 15" rims gehou en beplan om n tweerandse stel 31" te koop om daar op te trek vir my lang trippies as die bakkie gelaai is. Iets wat baie opvallend is, is hoe baie die bakkie "wonder" oor die pad en is beslis iets om aan gewoond te raak.

Met die nadele en al is ek baie gelukkig en ek kry sommer so lekker in my you know what as hy in die dorp langs n Amarok of Hummer geparkeer staan. :tease:
