3" lift kit for Hilux LN105

Post by kritsotis13 »

Hello guys!

My name is Manos and I live in Greece.

This summer I bought a very nice Hilux 2.4 diesel mk3 1995 4x4 sfa LN105 model

I want to buy a 3-3.5" lift kit, and a look for it on the internet.

Everything I have found, refers to models pick up or 4runner up to 1985 models, if I search for my year, everyone sells IFS kits.

I need your help for the followings:

Are these kits suitable for my car?

http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/toyota4_StAx.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I would prefer the rough country 705H model, cause of the cost.

If it suits my car, what is better for the rear, blocks or add- a- leaf?

what is the difference /benefits?

will I need to add anything else for the lift?

finally, do you know where to find sellers that ship to Greece?

Would you suggest anything else or any other kit for the lift?

I hope to hear from you soon

Sorry if I ask too much,

Thank you!

Hi and welcome Manos!

Those will work, but I don't know the product, so I'm not sure what kind of ride it will give you. Why not get the Old Man Emu kit with shocks (just leave out the steering damper if yours is still OK). That will give you almost 4" lift, without blocks or extended shackles, neither of which I like because of the on-road instability that they are prone to. The ride is stable, smooth and soft, even at speed over rough roads. The axle articulation is also pretty good.

Check them out here

They might have agents close to you, otherwise they will arrange shipping.

Perhaps do some enquiries first amongst people you know or off-road clubs in your area. Get some feed back on the different brands that guys are using ... of course you will get a lot of differing opinions, but you should be able to pick up what's good and what's not. You might even get lucky and pick up a second-hand set of OME leaf packs. It's better to get something decent first time around, so you might have to budget towards it.

Good luck, hope you get sorted. ;-)
