LEXUS IN 2005 2.7 LEGEND 4X4

Post by Johan »

Nuwe projek want ons 2.7 gee of jy nou 60 ry of 160....5km per liter. Sal fotos opsit as dinge begin interessant lyk.

Groete :yahoo:

Se my bietjie, as 'n gras snyer lank genoeg stil staan daar by jou, druk jy dan 'n Lexus in dit ook in? :stars:

johan , get the guys to check the fittings , had one crimped to tight the other day and crimped the pipe almost closed and the pressure ran high about 19 bar , removed and redid the pipe and all ok , but the lexus compressor on the hilux system works well so no problem there. i have even relocated the condensor to the back above the spare wheel and it still works well.

Johan keep a record while you have your foot flat, and when you calm down let us know what consumption you get driving normally too. :boss:

Mark it does about 3150rpm at 120 coz of the diff ratio of the 2.7

We did the rebuild ourselves and the cost excluding 100 hours lobour was about 40 K

johan what we have found with comparing the latest hilux conversions is that the diesel gave better consumption with its ratio , as its revving about the 2500 mark , with the manual on the sfa the lexus is revving at about 3400 which is a bit high , the customer then swopped over to the auto box and got the revs down to 2600 and his consumption dropped dramatically , but remember to dyno again as it does influence the ecu .
did 2 nissan hardbodys side by side but 1 auto and 1 manual and the auto beats it hands down on consumption , yes the manual maybe a bit more fun to drive if you like hoofing it , but for towing, cruising and 4x4 the auto wins by far .

Great job on the installation.

Couple questions if I may?

1) Did you fabricate your own engine mounts or purchase them somewhere? If purchased where from?

2) Did you mate the engine to the standard hilux transmission or the auto that came with the engine? Any issues with bellhousing/transmission adaptors and getting it to mate properly?

Is there somewhere we can purchase a bellhousing/transmission adaptor plate to mate a 1UZ to a standard hilux auto?

3) What sort of fuel economy figures are we looking at (litres/per 100km) for both auto and manual?

Thankyou very much for your assistance, it is appreciated.
