Hi everyone well its that time of the year again when everything and everyone goes crazy so time to going with the above event. After looking at many venues/dates/availability etc it has been decided by the illustrious Events Coordinators that this is what we are going to do.

Western Cape Year End GTG 2012 - 24/25th Nov

Venue - Scheppie Saus - on the road from Piketberg to Elandsbaai. GPS coords - S32.476620, E18.536170, nearest town is Redlingshuys.

Costings are as follows :

Camping is R50 ppn (kids under 12 for free) - Camping for Friday and Saturday nights.

Spit to be confirmed but will be +/- 80 rand per head, kids eat for free. - Will be for Saturday evening.

Trail fee R200 per vehicle (This can be paid on the Saturday morning to me as I appreciate that people can change their minds and/or the weather etc. might dictate otherwise.)

Activities include.
4x4 Trail - 2 sections of varying difficulties.
Hiking trails
Mountain Biking
Mountain stream swimming.

Raffle prizes.
Kiddies Sweetie packs.

There is a brand new ablution block being built and the campsite affords plenty of shade and is a very nice grassy area nestled between the 2 mountain ranges. We will have the campsite solely for our own use. You can arrive anytime after 12h00 hours on the Friday and there is no time limit on when we must leave on the Sunday.

Hi Val,

well I spoke to Danie yesterday, the spit guy wants R600 for his time and equipment etc, I am also getting a price on bread and salads, plus Danie will supply the lamb so will give us a good price, I will confirm that.

As for deposits, no Danie is fine, as long as by Friday 23rd Nov at the latest everyone has paid into the hilux account then I will just get Cassie to transfer the monies into Danies account, as I will have confirmed prices for the spit etc. Obviously the more that come the cheaper it works out for the spit.

I will manage the bread and salad side if you agree. Think maybe we must have a cut off date for definites, when those who are going to attend must have deposits paid.. Lamb spit, baby potatoes made along with the lamb, 2 different salads, 2 different breads with jams, cost R90 a head, I for one think this is a steal and means none of us have to mess around preparing salads, baking breads and more time for drinking tea and coffee

I had already quoted R80 so I dont think another R10 is much to ask for the rest of the stuff.......

Camping is R50 ppn (kids under 12 for free) - Camping for Friday and Saturday nights.

Spit to be confirmed but will be +/- R90 per head if there are 30 adults, kids eat for free. - Will be for Saturday evening.

Trail fee R200 per vehicle (This can be paid on the Saturday morning to me as I appreciate that people can change their minds and/or the weather etc. might dictate otherwise.)
