Hilux tie rod ends - normal price?

Post by andyrag »

I have just been quoted P2500 (R2700) for new tie rod ends for my hilux 2.7 (3RZ-FE). Both sides inner and outer

Is this a normal price? I was rather shocked but I don't recall having to replace them so have no idea what I should expect

Hi Guys.
Genuine toyota parts cost a fortune i just paid R450 for a ball joint. As a supplier its heavy but id rather use that and never see the customer again. The cost of doing the job twice and the inconvenience is very real when you cut corners!
But how often does one need to change it?
Pirate parts dont last especially on off road vehicles.

Regards
Darrell
