Beginners / Ladies 4x4 day – Leeuwenkloof 9 Feb 2013

Post by Ali3n »

So the waiting is over and the time has come to have our first event. :yahoo: Unfortunately things turned out so that we could not secure de Wildt but we will find a way to work it in somewhere.

Although this will be a beginners and Ladies day, please come and join us. No matter how experienced you are, you can always learn more. Anyone welcome!

Venue : Leeuwenkloof
Situated : Near Broederstroom off the R563
S 25°49.026
E 27°49.947
Cost : R190 per vehicle
Time : 8:30

There will be a short informal presentation at 9am where basic 4x4 tips, techniques and safety rules will be given as well as some information regarding the upcoming TETA training. This presentation will be done by our training provider. He will also be there the whole day to lead us and answer any and all questions you may have. So don’t be shy.

Those who would like to make a weekend out of it, there is a way. They have permanent tents with clean bedding etc at a cost of R300 p/person and they also have camping facilities at R50 p/person per night.

Here is the website of the venue: http://leeuwenkloof.co.za/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please bring dop & chop for afterwards as well as chairs.

Hi all, we would really like to join in for a day trip. SWAMBO'S questions: how long is the trail, & can this be done with a one year old kid in the car?

It would be great if you can join.

Q1 - One can spend as much time on the trails as you would like. It ranges from a 3 Hour trail to 2 days. This will be a reasonably short trail for us with lots of stops along the way. I cant say for sure how long but she wont have to worry.

Q2 - This is for the whole family. I say yes, we wont be doing anything extreme unless you want to. But that will be decided at the obstacles. There will be escape routes all over the place.

I hope that helps.

Good question that one :laugh2: see we always leave the fire lighters at home.

I will bring the fire lighters..............

No convoy for me as this place is only about 20 to 30 minutes from my place.
