Looking for a panelbeater/spraypainter in and around Jozi

Post by Donkey »

Hi guys

I am looking for someone, if possible someone from the forum/club, to do some minor panelbeating/spraypainting on my truck. Due to work commitments unfortunately Kenneth is unable to assist.

Regards,
Donkey.

Eventually found someone, south of Jo'burg, and was smitten with his workmanship, price, expertise, and workshop (very decent and clean including a paint mixing lab) - will tell a bit more on him later.

Work that needed to be done:

1. Repair/spray bonnet and 1x A pillar as a resust of object falling on them

2. Touch up on some minor rust spots that were about to start above the rear window, on the roof

3. Close up holes on all 4 arches, after taking off original fender flares

4. Widen front wheel arches as I could see the tyres potentially rubbing there - widened the side of the arch closest to the door, see pics.

Thanks Alien.

@ Hugo - what you'll see on the pikchas does not justify the caliber of work he does, best you go and see for yourself, I'd suggest.

His name is Omar 082 606-0966 - this is the guy who won the job to spray the Gautrain - he's that good! :cooldude:

Yes, sir. Touches only on the on the sway bar at full swing, to correct this, will add spacers from the Hilux shop.

Got the truck back last Friday and I'm impressed, workmanship, crafstmanship, attention to detail, helpfulness and fair pricing. Will take pics tomorrow after giving it a wash.

Now next on the list is gear ratios.

Sebata thanks for posting Papa.
Security is not an issue really in the townships cos the community knows each other, and mob justice is in place for any offenders, problem is when going to an area where you are not known.

Since I had the truck and with all these mods guys at work now call me Baas John :shock2: :mocking:

Hey Baas John :mocking: :mocking: :mocking:

I think we all need to park our trucks at your place seeing that they would probably be safer there....

Pity we can't apply mob justice.

Anyhow, your truck looks great! Does that mean we will see you at Berakah?

Berakah is one of my favourites, I'm really tempted, but I hate the idea of playing/camping with the club and having to come to work on Sun, when anti-freeze/mother's milk levels are still high in my bloodstream :silent:
