rear diff input bearing collapsed (repaired)

so yesterday afternoon before leaving from port edward back home I felt a vibration between 80kmph and 100kmph. after inspection I saw the input shaft bearing have collapsed. so after much debate I decided to take a chance and drive to sasolburg today. well all ended well as I have made it. so now I have to strip the diff as I don't know the ratio as my van is a sfa with kzte motor. I know there are a lot of spares around jouburg, so hopefully I will come right.

Way to check the ratios is to strip. Count the crownwheel teeth and then pinion's teeth. Devide the Crownwheel amount by the pinion amount and you have the ratio.

so the teeth on the pinion is 11 and the crown wheel is 41 teeth. so the ratio is 3.72

so I fixed the diff today. bought all the bearings from triangle bearings in vereeniging. total cost with locktite and rv sealer and seal and pinion and carrier bearing- R1850. I will post all the bearing numbers later for future reference.
