few "bargain" 4y parts enquiry

Post by Sven »

Walked into my local Midas here in Nelspruit to pick up some brake fluid and i saw a quick printed paper saying 4y parts special offer.
so knowing that if something is just cheaply printed onto a piece of paper and stuck on a wall it should be a good deal.
so the 2 prices i took notice of was Clutch: R690.00 and Electronic Dizzy: R950.00, they had a few other parts
but what i want to know, are those Good prices, i think my clutch might need a change but thought thats not too bad a price. have
and Electronic Distributor already but not sure if its worth getting a fresh one. they had other things like fuel pumps and so forth aswell.

Sven, I think that's aimed at the taxi industry and it's probably cheaply sourced Chinese products. If it's a genuine Luk or Luk Repco clutch kit, then it's like ½ the normal price and you should go for it. If not, rather walk away and save yourself future headaches .... get a Luk clutch kit when you're ready to do your clutch. ;-)
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Thanks Andy,

i thought the same when i saw it, I'm pretty sure it was cheap stuff, but will enquire next time i drive past the shop just incase.
but if you say a LUK is twice that price then its not such a hot bargain and would rather get that then.
