Ek wil weet...as jy jou voertuig (diesel) start en laat idle vir 5 min voor jy ry, gebruik hy minder of meer diesel om die engin warm te maak as wat 'n ou dadelik begin ry? :think: ...of is dit maar elke ou se eie manier van doen? Ek weet 'n ou moet maar rustig ry tot die olie sy temp gekry het, maar daar is baie mense wat al is hulle BAIE haastig, eers 5-10min laat idle voor die wiele laat draai.......??
..die kalmste is om belangrik te bly...

Glo nie jy gaan diesel bespaar nie, glo ook nie dat hy so lank moet staan en luier nie .... na my mening is 'n minuut is gewoonlik genoeg om hom op te warm en die olie na bo in die enjin te laat kom. ;-)

soos Andy sê, die belangrikste is smeering. ek het al getoets op my kz. die egt styg tot 140'c en dan bly dit daar. werks tempratuur is tussen 350 en 650'c afhangende van pad toestande. so jy is n hele ent van die werks tempratuur af.

Ek persoonlik laat hom nie idle eers nie (petrol) maar ek ry op baie lae revs (Net bo idle spoed) vir die eerste 2 na 3 kilos.

Dink die ding is net moenie die wit waks uit die ding uit ry nie tensy jy ten minste so 5 na 10km gery het nie. As jy hom laat idle is dit net die engine olie ens wat warm word en geen van die ander smering in die ratkas, diwwe ens nie.

Ek het eendag 'n baie interessante praatjie van 'n Ingenieur wat in die motorvervaardiging sektor werk gehoor. Die meeste slytasie in 'n enjin vind plaas terwyl die enjin koud is. As hy eers op sy werkstemperatuur is dan is daar feitlik geen slytasie wat plaasvind nie. Dit is dus belangrik om die enjin so gou as moontlik op sy werkstemperatuur te kry. As hy staan en luier vat die enjin te lank om warm te word en die slytasie is dus hoër. Mens moet dadelik ry want as die enjin harder werk word hy vinniger warm. Dit beteken egter nie dat jy hom van koud af moet hard ry nie.

Sy advies was dat jy dadelik ry maar dat mens wel aanvanklik met 'n "ligte" voet sal ry.

Het julle al gevoel hoe klou daai dikker ratkas / diff olie? Daars geen manier die ratte staan heeltemal droog na die vorige dag se ry nie en by die bearings loop dit sommer net nie uit nie. Bowendien vat dit net 'n paar revolusies en alles is weer gesmeer .... ek bekommer my glad nie oor die divve / ratkas nie. Natuurlik ry jy ook nie die gat uit 'n koue enjin nie. Die teorie van meer slytasie op 'n koue enjin is beslis waar.

Ek laat hom gewoonlik net 30 secondes of so luier voor ek ry .... as die vrou moet saam, dan kan dit seker langer vat voordat sy ingeklim het. ;-)

Ek begin die clutch al los terwyl die starter nog draai, en ek sit hom al af voor die wiele stilstaan, seker nie die regte manier nie, maar dis hoekom ek n Toyota ry, my KZ het al 360 k op met dieselfde turbo.

Ek praat van die Hilux... Met 'n Jeep is dit nie nodig vir allerhande tierlantyntjies nie.. Klim in en ry die wit waks uit hom uit, daar nie tyd vir warm idle nie.. :twisted: :twisted:

sit aan - sit sitplekk gordel aan, en trek voorentoe uit die garage uit - stop en druk die knoppie om die garage toe te maak - ry die eerste kilometer rustig .....


ek dink met n DIESEL is die afkoel MEER belangrik. Moenie met n wit warm turbo teen volspoed stop en dadelik die engin af sit nie ....

Dit neem n tydjie vir die engin om op optimale werks temperateur te kom, voor dit is die slytasie bietjie meer dus as hy nie warm is nie, moet hom nie wax nie. Idle is nie rerig nodig tensy hom will wegvlieg uit die blokke.
