Letseng Diamnond Mine - Lesotho

Post by Obelix and Dogmatix »

Morning Peoples

Has Anybody gone to Afriski Lately?

I will be going to the diamond mine which is located just past Afriski and was wondering on the road conditions, as I have not been that way for a number of years.

And does anybody know of a decent site that could help with the weather predictions - leaving tomorrow and hoping to come back on Thursday.

Will try and get some pretty pictures for the photo junkies on this forum!!!

My buddy was up there 2 weekends ago. He has the Amarok 2X4 and said the road was not bad at all. I think as you get to Afriski it becomes gravel road. I was up there I think 2 years ago and also not to bad, the mine maintains the road and scrapes it.

The gravel starts just after Oxbow and the mines scrape the road regularly. Apart from loose gravel on top it is really not bad.
