I have a 4x4 KZTE with ABS brakes. When I do approx 70km/h and brake there is no brakes. This happens every now and again. Any suggestions on what is wrong pls?

Re: KZTE Brake problems
Explain "no brakes"
Does the pedal go to the floor with no resistance?
Does it go halfway?
Does it stay hard, but doesn't stop?

Re: KZTE Brake problems
If the pedal stays hard but no effect on braking the ABS actuator is faulty just remove the ABS relay and the braking system will be like normal brakes without ABS

Re: KZTE Brake problems
Thanks for all the info. Some days I realise how valuable the forum is! I will do all the checks. Where is the ABS relay situated?
The brakes are hard when I step on it with no brakes.... I went through the exercise of bleeding the brakes to check for air but it is ok.

Re: KZTE Brake problems
Look in engine bay, on the 2.7 it is on the steering wheel side close to the firewall. It is clearly marked ABS. Just pull the relay out.
Not sure if it is located at the same place on KZ
