Hi
It is time to replace the battery for my hilux. Now my question is what will you recommend? Normal lead acid battery and if so what make? If something else what will work better. I know you get gel betteries and duel batteries that can be used for cranking and deep cycle.
Also what place has the best prices on the east rand?

Ons verkoop maxim batteries met 'n twee jaar warrantee. Het in die laaste sewe jaar nog nie moeilikheid met hulle gehad van dag een af nie. Prys verskil nie baie teenoor 1jr.

Ummm... shipping a single battery from Brackenfell to Benoni seems a little crazy? That's an item I'd much rather buy close to home!

Jy is te ver maar dankie vir die info. So is lood suur maar nog die beste om in die kar te begruik? Het Maxim n duel battery, crank en deep cylcle? If you have to replace the battery, take the measurement of the battery box and go for the biggest battery that will fit. The original battery is always a little bit to small in amp hours specially in winter time and that means your battery life is shortened when you engine need a little bit extra power to start on cold mornings in winter specially when you vehicle is sleeping outside while you are doing the camping thing. My old 2.4d sfa ,s original battery is a 622 and that never lasted during winter, always failed just a month before or after warranty expired. Since i replaced in with a 652 no problems again even with outside temps down to -6 in the mornings. As soon as the glowplug light goes off she starts without problems. You have to chech the glowplucks every 12 months and replace the thermostat.

My SFA 4y bakkie gebruik n 638 70A battery. Battery Cabin in Kempton verkoop Taxi battery wat ingevoer word vanaf Korea vir die Hi-Ace mini busse wat ook n 638 battery gebruik
Die battery kom met n 2 jaar waarborg en is n 80A teenoor die plaaslike 70A Battery Prys is R800.00 INC.
