Suggestions Hilux V Cruiser Day

Post by Nick S »

Howzit Guys
The Hilux and Cruiser day at Hennops was a huge success. Thank you to everyone involved.

I honestly think we should look at our mates in the LCCSA and learn from them.
They had caps, buffs and a banner made for the event. While I know these are not essentials it could be something that we want to look at in the future.

Just a suggestion though, I do not want to upset any one involved. :surrender:

Nick I was not able to be there so I'm going on second hand info here....

The club does have a clothing range that includes shirts, caps etc.
Having said that, a person could have items made for the day if there were to be enough interest, time and so on.
Hopefully I will be able to partake in a few gtg's next year and the next Cruiser challenge!
Aint it ironic that "Common Sense" aint so common after all...

The problem that always arises, is that a lot of talking happens, and when something is arranged, everybody pulls out.
I can look into caps and buffs made, but we need the numbers.

The Cruisers guys get buffs and caps when they pay their club fees.
We have had T shirts made in the past for special events, but this was with help from 4x4Direct.

It's most impractical for us to have a stock holding of club branded clothing and so we've always done it by doing a 'group buy' when the demand arises.

That might change. There is something in the pipeline whereby we will be able to place individual ad hoc orders for things like caps, buffs, t-shirts, golf shirts, embroidered badges and jackets. Hopefully it comes to fruition, but will keep the club informed in an appropriate thread. :winkx:
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
