Howdy.
Yeah g'day from n.z. just got my first hilux an 07 double cab 3.0 ltr d4. But been a Toyota slut my whole life multiple cruisers hiaces and currently a 95 series prado. My new truck has solid front winch bar/winch snorkel and is pretty much standard apart from that. Will get used and abused on farm and in the hills hunting fishing and just general Tom foolery. Cool forum theres not a lot around that's Nz specific so here I am.

Welcome aboard, Chris!
Kiwi's always welcome here, and yes, we have a lot in common ... we drive on the same side of the road, love the outdoors, are obsessed with rugby (even though local politics has screwed the Boks over royally), and of course we're also Toyota "sluts" as you put it.
(Personally have a daughter living in Tauranga).

Re: Howdy.
Not bad at all!
Standard they ride pretty close to the ground, so a suspension mod (that you already have planned) and some higher profile tyres should give you enough lift for general off-road stuff. Shouldn't affect the warranty.
Also, if those are still the OEM aluminium side steps, I would have some proper sliders made up to replace them with and sell the OEM units while they still look OK. They get damaged pretty easily in the rough.

Re: Howdy.
Hey fellas,
New front shocks and springs in today. Top of the line fully adjustable ironman, set at 2 inch lift which is the limit here without engineer cert. Got some kuhmos kl71s and fitted a sports bar to protect the rear of the cab starting to look like a real one!
