My front diff lock is giving trouble.
We have narrowed it down to the capacitors in the actuator. However they are not marked and we have no idea what size they are...
Any chance that someone has this info? Google isn't really helping
New actuator costs +7k - replaced one on the Troopy last year. It's already giving hassles.....
Maybe used twice and only once in water. So replacement not really an option.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Shane. Are you talking about an ADD (automatic diff decoupler) or an actual diff lock?
If it's an ADD then this article could be useful ..... https://www.hilux4x4.co.za/views/viewtopic.php?t=29665
However, I see you have a '97 hilux .... if it's for that one then you're obviously talking about an actual diff lock but I'm unaware of there being capacitors in that system (Toyota electric locker with actuator motor).

Andy I have D4D electric lockers in my SFA. Exactly the same as in my 2011 Troopy.Mud Dog wrote:Hi Shane. Are you talking about an ADD (automatic diff decoupler) or an actual diff lock?

The capacitors sit in the actuator?
I'll check out the link. Thanks.
